Rotaract Club of Lamjung (RAC Lamjung) formed by the RI motto ‘Service Above Self’
in sponsor of Rotary club of Lamjung,age of 18-30 about two dozen active youths from different professionals and background who are very much interested to do social activists ,was established in 2006 and the was chartered under the chairmanship of Rtr.Huma Gurung. in 2007 in a great initiation of Rtn. Pramod Kumar Shrestha Charter president of Rotary Club of Lamjung. At the beginning,speacially assisted by Rotaract Club of Damauli for its promotion .
Under the umbrella of Rotaract District Nepal 3290 and after 3292, RC Lamjung has been conducting different projects and programmes in different parts of Lamjung for four years.Because of Its projects ,Programmes and humanitarian services and activities, Rotaract Club of Lamjung is regarded as a volunteer youths' social organization in Lamjung as well RI District.Whatever successes, achievements and glory RC Lamjung has obtained so far is due to the self-less services, team spirits between of the Rotaractors and warm love, affection and assistance provided by the NGOs and government official. RC Lamjung has started Blood donation program,Free General health Camps in remote areas of Lamjung in co-ordination of LDCH,DPHO,PARENT CLUB ,LOCAL CLUBS, Public awareness programs like street drama, rally etc. such this tree plantation, Supplying clean drinking water in various programs, assistance for disabled Children, supporting local Orphanage, distribution of clothes for the poor/needy people. distributing educational materials for the poor
and disabled students etc are a few exemplary projects and programs run by Rotaract Club of Lamjung. Besides these projects, Rotaract Club of Lamjung has become a common forum in which Rotaractors have got several opportunities to develop their personality, professional skills and fellowship as well. The Rotaractors have developed leadership skills in their respective fields .We have been feeling a kind of glory and sense of self confidence of being Rotaractor.
There were many challenges to go ahead smoothly when it began. Due to the support of our parent club and whole Rotary family and we Rotaractors to analyze the need of the society, envision further projects and programmes, implement them dynamically, enhance Rotaract image more brightly and make the society feel its enthusiastic existence and presence.
The further we go, the more challenges we have to face, the more creative
we become. Its urgency of time that we have to be more adventurous, critical, imaginative and creative to make real the dream that our predecessors envisioned while establishing Rotaract Club of Lamjung, in our beautiful town, Besisahar . Therefore, its time to work together, struggle together against poverty, illiteracy, hunger, and environmental degradation in order to hand over a bit better, richer, healthier, more beautiful place to our successors, then after, it would be meaningful of being a Rotaractors.
